Does ContextPorter have its own AI backend?
No. ContextPorter does not proxy your prompts through a ContextPorter server. Supported provider interactions use the provider account and browser session you choose.
What browser content can I attach?
Selected text, page text, sanitized DOM, visible screenshots, full-page screenshots, local images and supported local files.
Where are screenshots and files stored?
Binary attachments are stored locally in extension-owned IndexedDB and referenced by local IDs. Retention is bounded and local data can be cleared from Settings.
Is ContextPorter affiliated with the AI providers it supports?
No. ContextPorter is an independent browser extension and is not affiliated with or endorsed by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or xAI.
